Why Moms Make the Best Leaders

I love being a mom.

It’s deffffinitely humbling (why do I get a dramatic “No, Mommy!” every time I sing?), but easily the most meaningful and transformative thing that's happened to me.

Yes, my daughters are the cutest, sweetest, and smartest little humans—but motherhood has also made me a stronger, more grounded leader.

We already know the world runs better when women lead—research backs it up: teams with more women in leadership perform better. And if you ask me, the world could use a lot more Big Mom Energy.

Moms get it done.
Moms are expert problem-solvers and boundary-setters.
Moms are resilient and resourceful.
Moms build systems, not just routines.
Moms can mediate and negotiate.
Moms lead without always getting the spotlight.
Moms drive outcomes in high-stakes, low-control scenarios.

Moms embody what great leadership looks like: presence, patience, and perspective.

They are the epitome of what my favorite parenting expert calls sturdy leadership.

Happy Mother’s Day—to the leaders we should all aspire to be. To the moms doing the most at all times (one pictured below!)
